Lugia is a rare holo Pokemon card from Pokemon Neo Genesis, card 9 of 111, released December 16, 2000 in the Neo series. The illustration is by Hironobu Yoshida.
Lugia headlines Neo Genesis, the set that introduced Generation 2 to the English game. Elemental Blast could one-shot anything if you assembled three different energy types, but the card's weight is as a collectible: the Neo Genesis Lugia holo — especially 1st Edition — is one of the defining vintage chase cards outside Base Set, with notoriously difficult print quality making top grades rare.
