Charizard is a rare holo Pokemon card from Pokemon Expedition Base Set, card 6 of 165, released September 15, 2002 in the E-Card series. The illustration is by Hiromichi Sugiyama.
Expedition's Charizard holo comes from the first e-Reader set, whose oversized frames and dot-code borders make the era instantly recognizable. Low print volumes at the end of WOTC's license mean e-Card era holos are much scarcer than Base era equivalents.
VALUE
What is Charizard #6 from Expedition Base Set worth?
Two different numbers answer this, and they are not interchangeable. Raw/ungraded: a loose, ungraded copy of Charizard #6 (Expedition Base Set) carries a market reference of $408.33 USD for the holofoil printing (TCGplayer market price, as of 2026-09-11). Graded slabs: a graded example is priced per grading company and per grade and can sit far above that raw figure - one documented public sale is on file for this card, $26500.00 for a PSA 10 on 2025-08-05, listed with its source below. Both are references, not offers. The graded copy in our machine carries a Rip Station estimated slab value of $460.00 (PSA 3).
