Worlds results
The 2026 Pokemon World Championships finished Sunday, August 30 at the Chase Center in San Francisco, the first time the finals were held in a major sports arena, and the building sold out. In the Trading Card Game, Andrew Hedrick of the United States won the Masters Division with a Dragapult ex deck, finishing 13-2-0 and defeating 2017 world champion Diego Cassiraga of Argentina in the final by decking him out. Hedrick's list ran three Dragapult ex, four Drakloak, four Dreepy and a Dudunsparce. The Masters prize was $50,000 from a $340,000 TCG pool. Jake Ng won the Senior division and Yuta Araki the Junior. In the Video Game Championships, Takuma Yamazaki won Masters, Vikram Thiagarajan Seniors and Kazuke Kage Juniors; GGS489HIROMARU won Pokemon GO and Zeta Division won Unite.
For the card market, the watchlist is Dragapult ex singles and the sealed product that carries them. A Worlds win usually lifts a deck's key cards within days, but the lift fades as the meta moves, and this year the next set (30th Celebration, September 16) is close enough that the window is short.
Mega Greninja ex League Battle Deck
Revealed Friday, August 28, for release on November 13 at $29.99: a ready-to-play 60-card deck built around three Mega Greninja ex with two Mega Starmie ex, four Froakie, two Frogadier, plus Lillie's Determination, Boss's Orders and the usual search and draw, with six damage dice, a coin die, condition markers, a deck box, a strategy sheet and a TCG Live code. League Battle Decks are the cheapest route into a competitive list, and their reveal usually puts a ceiling on the singles they reprint.
Tins on shelves
Both tin lines shipped Friday: the Mega Forces tin (choose a Mega Dragonite ex, Mega Darkrai ex or Mega Zeraora ex promo, four packs) and the Ascended Heroes tins ($21.99, Mega Feraligatr, Meganium or Emboar ex, four Ascended Heroes packs). Ascended Heroes has fallen in six consecutive Index readings, 2.1 percent this week; the next reading is the first with the reprint actually on shelves.
Singapore 2027
The 2027 World Championships will be in Singapore, and the PokemonXP festival that ran alongside this year's event will not return with it.
