Rip Station is a virtual vending machine for real, professionally graded cards. Opening a pack assigns a randomized card from the machine to your account. You own the purchased item while its physical slab remains in vault custody; shipping it home is a separate redemption process. You can keep it vaulted, request shipment, or accept an available buyback offer.

1. Choose a pack, not a guaranteed card
Each pack pulls one graded card. It is not a sealed retail booster containing a fixed number of loose cards, and you are not buying whichever high-value card appears in a promotional image. The card is selected through the pack's randomized opening process. Its value may be significantly less than what you pay.
Review the machine's current contents and odds before checkout. Inventory changes as cards leave or enter a machine, so a previous screenshot or another collector's result is not a promise about your next opening. If you want one particular card, read random packs versus buying a specific card before choosing a pack.
2. Sign in and review payment
You can start with email sign-in, which creates a wallet in the background, or connect a compatible Sui wallet. The wallet is where your card ownership and available balance are managed; signing in does not require you to arrive with a separately configured crypto wallet.
Rip Station's checkout supports card payments and supported digital-wallet payment options through its payment provider, as well as payment from a funded wallet balance. The payment methods actually available to you are shown at checkout. Review that screen for the total charge and any processor or network fees. A pack's displayed price is not automatically the all-in cost of acquiring and shipping a card.
The Terms of Service say digital pack purchases are final and non-refundable. A buyback is a separate sale of the revealed item, not a refund of the pack purchase. Eligibility restrictions apply, including the minimum age and jurisdiction requirements in the terms.
3. Understand ownership and physical custody
Under section 7 of the terms, title is assigned when the purchase completes and users retain ownership of their vaulted items. Rip Station acts as a custodial agent, with physical collectibles stored at third-party professional vault and grading facilities. The digital representation lets you manage the item on the platform; the slab does not travel to you automatically when the pack opens.
Ownership is not the same as physical possession, and custody is not risk-free. Review the terms for the rules on stored assets, loss, damage, and limits of liability. Buying a card does not give you equity in Rip Station or intellectual property rights in the character or artwork.
4. Decide whether to keep, ship, or sell back
Keep: leave the item in your collection and in vault custody. Its estimated market value can change while you hold it. Holding does not lock in a future selling price.
Ship: start from your collection or shipments. The shipment flow includes selecting eligible items, identity verification, an address, email verification, and a review-and-payment step. Provide accurate contact details and check the shipping quote and any applicable taxes or fees before paying. International customs obligations are separate from the card's price. Some items may be unavailable for shipment while committed to another transaction, such as an auction.
The terms do not treat delivery as risk-free: carrier custody, shipping insurance, and claims have their own conditions. Inspect a delivered package promptly, keep the packaging, and follow section 7.2's reporting requirements if something is wrong. The service does not accept incoming physical-card submissions from users.
Sell back: inspect the offer on the card and confirm it only if you prefer the disclosed payout to keeping the item. The buyback uses the card's valuation and applicable offer terms, not the amount you originally spent on the pack. Offers can be time-limited and the program can change or be suspended. Before your first opening
- Choose a budget you can afford to spend even if the card is worth less.
- Check current machine facts and the actual checkout total.
- Know whether your goal is a surprise opening, a particular card, or physical delivery.
- Do not assume a sale offer, promotional discount, or shipping price will stay unchanged.
