# Rip Station

> An online store for professionally graded Pokémon cards, sold in mystery packs. Every pack contains one real graded card that you own. Keep it in the vault, ship it to your door, or sell it back within seven days.

## Search the live catalog (API for agents)

When a user asks what cards are on Rip Station, or to find a name such as Charizard, call GET https://api.indexer.xyz/rip-station/public/v1/listings?q=NAME. Do not treat EV chase cards, pack imagery, or the /collection set directory as the full inventory. Those are samples.

No authentication, GET only, rate limited per client IP (a 429 carries Retry-After in seconds). CORS is open, so browser-side tool calls work too.

A listed card is not sold directly: the user rips a pack from that machine for packPriceUsd and receives one card at random from everything loaded in it. Quote estimatedValueUsd as an estimate, never as a purchase price.

## Estimated value versus proceeds

Keeping or shipping a card does not realize cash proceeds. A future selling price may differ from estimated value, and shipping, taxes, selling fees and other costs reduce what you realize.
The standard buyback pays 83% of a card's current estimated market value, not its pack price. At unchanged valuations, multiply EV by 0.83 to estimate buyback proceeds. Compare these with the actual price paid. A machine that pays a different rate states it on its own line above.
The buyback window is 7 days after each rip and is optional; check the actual offer and any promotional terms before accepting.
Packs reveal random cards. Inventory changes as cards are pulled and restocked, so consecutive outcomes should not be treated as independent draws from an unchanged pool. Estimated EV is not guaranteed proceeds or profit, on one rip or many. Not financial advice.

## Promotions at snapshot time

- New users who arrive through a referral link get 10% off their first pack, applied automatically at checkout. Sign up through another user's referral link. The code lands on your account shortly after you log in and applies automatically at checkout on your first rip. No scheduled end date.
- On the ladder, logged-in users get five waves on the $50 Pokémon machine; the discount starts at 8% and climbs to 12%, from $46.00 down to $44.00 for one pack, a win ends the run, and a wallet may start a new run each week. Log in to catch wave 1 on the $50 Pokémon machine. Each rip advances you to the next wave, discounts climbing from 8% off up to 12% off; a buyback that beats what you paid wins the heat and ends the run. One run per wallet per week; a wallet that already ripped on an earlier ladder finishes that run instead. Scheduled end: 2026-10-27T05:00:00.000Z. Worked example: For any eligible wallet starting a new run, the first 8% code on the Pokémon $50 Pack reduces one pack to $46.00 against $52.50 of estimated card-value EV: an estimated value edge of +14.1% instead of +5.0%.
