The Pack Report is published by Rip Station. We say so on every page so you can weigh what we write accordingly. Figures are quoted from the sources linked, with the date we read them. Terms change; check the operator before you rely on a number.

Both sell random graded Pokemon slabs from a vault with an on-chain ownership record, and that is where the similarity ends.

Where Collector Crypt is ahead

  • Verifiable draws. Every pack carries an ECVRF proof published on Solana, with a browser verifier. Rip Station publishes odds and EV but no per-draw proof. This is the single biggest gap between the two.
  • Named custodians. PSA Vault or OmniVault, shown on each card. Rip Station does not name its vault partner.
  • Range. Machines up to $2,500 and categories beyond Pokemon through Jupiter.
  • Scale. Reported GMV in the hundreds of millions per month; Rip Station publishes no volume.

Where Rip Station is ahead

  • The basis of the buyback. 83 percent of an estimated market value that is published per machine with a timestamp and derived from public comps. Collector Crypt's 85 percent is of an 'insured value' it assigns itself and describes as 'not a market price.' A higher percentage of an unverifiable number is not obviously more money.
  • The window. Seven days against three.
  • Shipping. Same-business-day dispatch, about $11 for a US slab, against two to five weeks.
  • Operator disclosure. A named company and street address on the About page; Collector Crypt's corporate structure is documented mainly by third-party analysts, and it is token-funded with a reported 72 percent insider allocation.
  • Payments. Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay directly, without an on-ramp.

Call it

If you care most about proving a draw was fair, Collector Crypt. If you care most about knowing what the card is worth before and after the pull, and getting it to your door quickly, Rip Station. Rip Station publishes this site; the fairness gap above is real and we have said so.

How we compared

We read each platform's own pages first (FAQ, docs, terms, help centre) on the date above and quoted what they say. Where a site could not be read without a browser, or published nothing, we fell back to dated third-party reviews and marked them. Percentages are not interchangeable across rows: a buyback quoted against "insured value" set by the platform, against "fair market value" from an undisclosed method, and against a timestamped estimate from public comps are three different promises. Every cell carries a numbered source. If a platform changes a term, the number here is wrong until we re-read it; check the operator before relying on it.
