One Card, One Grade, Three Headline Sales: the PSA 10 First Edition Charizard in 2026

The three headline 2026 sales of a PSA 10 1999 First Edition Base Set Charizard make an uneven ladder. February's $954,800 at Goldin, for the Logan Paul box-break copy, opened the year. September 9's $1,000,953 on eBay added under 5 percent in seven months. The reported $1,385,274 on October 9 added 38 percent in a month.

Why the last step needs a second look

The first two prices are public results with a venue and a date. The third was announced on X by Jazwares president Jeremy Padawer, with no venue or auction record. That does not make it wrong, but it does make it a different kind of data point. Private sales can include trades, bundles or terms that do not show up in the headline number. The Pack Report prints reported private sales with that label and treats them as an anchor, not a comp, until a public sale lands near them.

What would confirm it

A second PSA 10 trading publicly above $1.2 million. There are 123 PSA 10s in the population, per Padawer, but many sit in long-term collections. A published cert number for the October copy would be the first step. Until then, ordinary PSA 9 sales are the better daily read on demand.
